Story Behind Developing IRNSS:-During kargil war in 1999, Indian army was dependent on GPS navigation in irnssextremely difficult Himalayan terrain. Due to Unforeseen” decisions of then Pakistan friendly Democrat President Clinton, GPS data to Indian Military was blocked. India learnt a valuable lesson from this. Might have lost some extra lives too due to this backstabbing experienced.

So a new project was taken up.17 Years later, today, we are almost ready for IRNSS which is Indian Equivalent of GPS data. 7th and final satellite 1G was launched today. Indian becomes the Sixth Country (Europe Tracked as One Country) to have its own positioning data. As Narendra Modi said “This is truly the Make In India that he keeps taking about!”
